Wedding Countdown Ticker

The wedding was super sweet.  Now we have something new coming, and her name is Zoe!

Steph is blogging about being pregnant over at Waiting for Zoe, if you are so inclined to read about such things.

Thanks to everyone who attended and everyone who wished us well.  We love you all!

We’ve extended the reception by an hour, because we want you to rock out!

Also, there are still a couple rooms in our South Mesa Lodge block.  Get ’em while you still can!  Just mention that you’re part of the Paddock-Shaver wedding group!

So, you’re coming to town for the wedding and you don’t know where to stay.  We don’t, either!  But we have some suggestions.

  • South Mesa Lodge – Website
This hotel is right next to the reception.  Recommended as a place to stay — it’s literally a short walk from the wedding venue.  To secure a room, call them at: (760) 763-7805 and mention you’re part of the Paddock-Shaver wedding!
  • Residence Inn Oceanside Website
Near Camp Pendleton, and next door to one of our favorite restaurants (Rosina’s).  We walked through the hotel and it looked clean and the staff were friendly.
  • Oceanside Highest Rated Hotels (Yelp)
Oceanside is the town nearest to the wedding.  There are nice parts and not-so-nice parts. If you are at all concerned about which part you may be staying in, drop Steph or Mike a line!
  • San Clemente Highest Rated Hotels (Yelp)
These are the highest rated hotels in San Clemente, which is where we live.  We love our little beach town, and you may love it, too!  Be warned that some of these may be B&Bs.  SC’s beaches are awesome, and restaurants aren’t too shabby, either! It’s halfway between San Diego and Los Angeles, so if you plan to jump to both cities, it’s a good home base.

Looking forward to seeing you all soon!

It was tough deciding between "limited engagement" or "live performance".

We set a date! Save the Dates are going out this week, and assuming we aren’t lazy, formal invitations will follow in March.

Speaking of the Save the Dates — that’s what they look like, on the right.  Steph designed them using some inspirations from the Internet. We wanted them to look kind of like concert posters — something fun that no one would mind to have on their fridge.  We’re really happy with how they turned out!

As the design behind the Save the Dates hints, we’re trying to keep the wedding lowkey and fun.  We wish we could invite everyone (we really do), but for this wedding iteration we’re going to be keeping the guestlist to around 50 friends and family plus their guests.

We’ll update the site intermittently with details and photos.  Enjoy!

  • What Is This?

The wedding website for Steph and Mike. It uses WordPress to generate pages, and the Blissful Blog theme so Steph doesn't have to spend five days coming up with something she likes. We update occasionally with tidbits about the wedding. Enjoy!
